The country is going through dangerous times, it faces challenges, and the perils come from every direction. Sectarian tensions have increased. We have to prove to the whole world that there will not be civil war between the people of this country. The danger is still there, and our enemies are watching us.

The goal is to reach a mutual agreement for all the three important posts. If we fail to reach it the deal may be divided into stages and this means that we will vote for some posts and leave others for next time.

the election of the members of the transitional council will have to be ended by the end of May.

I believe if we give ourselves this time, we will be able to succeed in forming a national unity government which people have been waiting for.

I am overwhelmed with happiness and congratulate the Iraqi people.

The choice of ministers should not be because they are party loyalists or belong to religious groups, but rather because of experience and competency. Iraq needs this.

The two main issues are security and the necessity for an inclusive election.

It's quite possible, also, that the legal proceedings against him may be postponed for a while if he complies with the other conditions. This is what I heard.

It will have due process and the right of appeal and be an open trial with attorneys and lawyers, something that is really unprecedented in Iraq's recent history and quite a contrast from the courts that Saddam himself established in Iraq to try his enemies,
